As your local board-certified orthodontist, Dr. Barney M. Hom has provided quality orthodontic care to over 8,000 happy patients in Manhattan Beach, CA, and the surrounding communities for over 30 years.
Dr. Hom earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Shortly after, he earned a certificate in orthodontics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Dr. Hom has served on the faculty at UCLA’s Orthodontic Department for over 20 years. He iss also board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Hom hails from a family of dentists, including two brothers and three brothers-in-law in the profession. One of his brothers is an oral, maxillofacial surgeon in Northern California, while the other is a periodontist in Ohio.
Additionally, one of his brothers-in-law was the chairman of UCLA’s Orthodontic Department, while the other practices as an orthodontist in Rancho Santa Margarita. Dr. Hom’s third brother-in-law is a general dentist in the South Bay region.
Dr. Hom is a California native residing in the South Bay with his wife Candice and son Brian. He has an avid interest in sports, traveling and reading.
